Rain hasn’t stop play at Number One Bristol

Despite June being the wettest month on record, The PG Group is delighted to say that  work on Number One Bristol is firmly on schedule for handover to residents in Summer 2017.

The removal of the existing windows and panels in the west Block is now nearing completion. New full height windows are being installed and the West block windows are due to be completed this September 16, with the East Block following swiftly behind in October 16.

Internal partitions are being erected in the West Block on levels 11 down to 7 with the first fix Mechanical and Electrical works commenced on 11th Floor. The new steelwork to support the Roof garden on the East Block will be erected in August followed by the new external cladding.

There are now on average 60 number of operatives on site, which will increase over the next few weeks, to approximately 150.  Managing Director of the PG Group, Stuart Gaiger said “For us this development is both challenging and exciting. The site is currently a hive of activity and every week there is something new taking place. This build demands some very complex engineering works, for example the steels for the roof top garden weigh over 350 tonnes and these will be going in the first week in August”.

You can see this project is a real team effort, PG Group’s build partner Bray & Slaughter currently have 85 people on site, soon to be increasing to 150, on top of the various specialist trades and deliveries that take place on a daily basis.

The next big opportunity for the PG Group to showcase this landmark development will be the launch of the show apartment, which will take place mid-September.
