Cabot Circus reveals exciting plans for Broadmead re-development
A significant investment is expected to reinvigorate a large area of Broadmead around Penn Street and The Horsefair. Not only is this expected to bring new jobs to the city centre, it is anticipated it will include a mix of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, leisure and open spaces. This project represents another significant piece of the jigsaw in elevating Bristol further as an incredible place to live.  Following an initial consultation it is anticipated work will commence in 2020 with completion of the ‘new Broadmead’ expected in 2022.

Five new places to eat open at Cabot Circus
Casa Brazil brings its exotic Brazilian Rodizo experience to the 1st floor at Cabot Circus. On the same floor, the Handmade Burger Company will be serving up 40 different, (yes you guessed it), fresh, hand-made burgers.  Côte, already well established in Clifton Village, is opening a second restaurant in Quakers Friars, whilst L’Osteria launches its first restaurant in the UK, in Bristol – delivering a timeless mix of pizza, pasta and Italian classics. Last but by no means least, British Asian inspired Itsu opens in Broadmead….so many places to eat, so few days in the week….mmmmmmmm

St James Arcade steps back in time
This historic arcade is undergoing a re-brand in the near future. When it opened in 1825 it was called The Arcade and it will shortly rebrand, reverting to this historic name. With its wonderfully diverse range of unique and independent shops ,  the arcade is an ideal place for gifts and services with a difference. It’s under cover and just a few minutes’ walk from your new home at  Number One Bristol.

Chance encounters on Christmas Steps.
Is Christmas Steps Bristol’s answer to Diagon Alley? It really is a most magical place and right at the heart of the Christmas Steps Arts Quarter. Made up of eight unique streets in Bristol’s old city, you’ll find independent shops, art galleries, bars, and cafes where artisans and creative traders work side by side to retain the diversity of this intriguing historic area.

Chance & Counters the full-time board games café, only the third of its kind in the UK, has chosen Christmas Steps for its Bristol venue. Currently offering over 300 board games, from counters to cards, all the games are new, so no searching for those missing pieces.  Old favourites sit alongside games you probably didn’t know existed, and you get the opportunity to road test new prototypes.  So switch off the Xbox and give the Play Station a rest and head along to Chance & Counters where you’ll be able to look your opponent in the eye! The Café is also fully licenced and serves food, including charcuterie, cheese and vegetarian mixed boards. You can become a member, with a myriad of advantages or just book a table and pay as you go.
